I'm blown away by how much good TV is on these days. In fact, it's a miracle that both my DVRs haven't shorted out yet, 'cause they've been used and abused this week. My newest faves include the 31 Days of Oscar University lineup on Turner Classic Movies (more on that in a future post), and the new Tim Roth vehicle, "Lie to Me," but this weekend I've programmed the downstairs DVR to catch "Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story" on TNT this Saturday night.
This movie appeals to me for several reasons: for one, I'm thrilled to see Cuba Gooding in a role that's not the fulfillment of some Faustian five-picture movie deal ("Daddy Day Camp?" Seriously?). He plays Dr. Ben Carson, a famous pediatric neurosurgeon who overcame poverty and racial prejudice to eventually win the President's Medal of Freedom for his work with children. In fact, the real Dr. Carson was the first surgeon to successfully separate twins who were conjoined...at the head. Damn!
I'm also happy to see that in these troubled times, we can point to stories like Carson's as real American Dream success stories. Carson's inspiring story teaches us not only that we can overcome significant obstacles to reach our goals, but that there are folks out there who can help in our darkest hour.
And, I'm a sucker for doctor shows, as my obsession with "House" and Discovery Health Channel attest. They had me at "separating twins joined at the head."
Check it out--it's on Saturday night at 8 on TNT.

If you're in a not good position and have no cash to get out from that, you will require to take the loan. Because that should help you definitely. I get term loan every year and feel OK because of that.

This is well known that cash can make people independent. But how to act when someone doesn't have money? The one way only is to receive the credit loans or commercial loan.
